Leron and Megan met in 2009 and became instant friends. In 2011 we realized that our friendship had blossomed into love and we began our courtship. On New Years eve at midnight 2013 Leron proposed and we were married in May of 2014. We really are blessed with the perfect partner for this life. We are Christians first and foremost. We are united by our love for God, our love of life, our love for horses, and our love for each other.
About Leron
Leron is a talented horseman. His laid back kind demeanor makes him a instant friend of any horse he meets. He has a knack for gaining horses trust and setting them at ease. Leron has the "need for speed" and used to show successfully all over Kentucky in barrel racing and pole bending events. He finished in the KY Top 10 in pole bending in 1996. Leron also enjoys hitting the trails and believes that trail riding helps balance a speed horses mind as well as teaches surefootedness and building muscle and stamina. Leron also enjoys ranch sorting and is itching to try working cow horse one day. Leron was horseless when he met Megan and she quickly got him back into the horse world...now Leron is worse than Megan... he is always looking over bloodlines, potential stallions to breed to, and horses for sale. Leron is great at knowing a good horse when he sees one. Leron works as a cell tower technician as his day job....but the farm is his other full time job! Leron is what keeps the farm, the tractor and everything else running smoothly. He can fix anything and his skills and strength sure come in handy. Leron also enjoys watching UK basketball and the San Francisco 49rs, anything football and horse racing. One of his main long term goals is to win at cowboy mounted shooting.
About Megan
Megan got bit by the "horse bug" at age 8 and became obsessed with all things equine. She read every horse book she could get her hands on and dreamed of one day owning her own horse. She began riding lessons at age 12 and at age 14 her dream of owning a horse came true as she paid for her first horse by cleaning stalls each night after school. She has owned horses and ridden full time since then. Megan has worked on several horse farms doing everything from handling stallions, cleaning stalls, starting colts, giving riding lessons, foaling out mares and finishing horses for the show ring. Megan loves to show and has shown in just about everything from flat shod walking horses to hunter under saddle to running barrels. In 2003, Megan's love of horses called her to Wyoming where she attended LCCC and graduated in 2005 with her Associates degree in Equine Training and Management. While in college Megan competed on the IHSA show team and got to travel to Nebraska, Colorado and New Mexico showing horses, she also started colts and got to try her hand at riding cutting horses. Megan has worked in the animal health industry as a sales rep for the past 15 years...2 years in New York and 13 back in her home state of Kentucky. In addition to horses, Megan enjoys kayaking, reading, traveling with Leron, and spoiling her cows.
